"Robin Wayne is the kind of musician who gives and inspires loyalty. You just don't usually find someone that good without an ego the size of Texas." - Tommy Grynder, Nuclear GrindNo one who has ever met or played with Robin Wayne has anything negative to say about him. His talent and professionalism are unparalleled, and his energy on stage and off is infectious. As a member of Contact Buzz, Black Betty, and Sixth Floor, Rob has opened and co-headlined with acts like Betty Blowtorch, Pumpjack, Supafuzz and Rail, and has played to sold out all-ages crowds all over the mid to eastern United States. After Rob joined Sixth Floor the band was voted Best Live Performance of 2001 by The Gator, were chosen to perform at the Nashville New Music Conference, invited to the Midwest Music Conference, and won several Battle of the Bands competitions. Rob was chosen Best Bass Player in the Bowling Green area, is one of the most sought after musicians in the state, and plays at times with Jason & the Scorchers and the Jo Dee Messina and Travis Tritt bands.
He is a dedicated bass player, powerful and enthusiastic, and can fit into virtually any musical situation. He has touring, recording, stage and screen credits in all formats, and has rotational airplay on WDNS 93 in his home state of Kentucky. He's a multi-dimensional musician who can write, play and sing, while offering a visual performance that inspires excitement. Most importantly, Rob is a professional to the full extent of the word and has a energy that can only be found in people who are truly dedicated to their craft.
Rob is in the process of relocating to the Los Angeles area where he plans to continue to record and perform original material as well as working as a session and touring bassist for hire.
