History was made the evening of Friday, October 27th, when Cherie
Currie took the stage at Don Hill's "Squeezebox", her first New York City
performance in 25 years!
The club was filled to capacity, and it seemed that every single
patron knew every single word to the songs that Cherie performed with the
marvellous Squeezebox house band. Cherie was so overwhelmed by the
outpouring of affection from the audience that she actually had to pause
for a moment to recover her composure!
Cherie with the fabulous Miss Guy, the house DJ and lead vocalist
of the Toilet Boys. Miss Guy had a special request...to perform "Queens
of Noise" alongside the legendary Ms. Currie. Also onstage singing
background vocals were Mistress Formika and a Luna Chick!
The set list was comprised of fave Runaways tunes: "Cherry Bomb",
"C'mon", "American Nights", "Queens of Noise", "California Paradise" and
the Nazareth classic, "Love Hurts"
Look who came to visit!
Kari Krome? with Cherie, and....
Our dear friend Kenny Laguna, manager of Joan Jett and a legendary
producer and songwriter in his own right!

Cherie, Kenny and Miss Guy...check out Kenny's T-shirt!
Cherie with club manager Ron, (what a cutey!) displaying the gorgeous
promo poster designed by our wonderful buds Omid & Jennifer. Great
job!
Thanks to the Squeezebox band for kickin' butt!
Thank you to Michael Shmidt, Ron, Omid & Jennifer,
Miss Guy, Mistress Formika, and to all the friends who came and rocked
the house down! We had a great time!
