Mike Crawford made his mark as a pianist and synthesist performing 3 to 4 gigs per week up and down the California coastline, but he is best known for producing a string of underground electronic hits including "Test Drive" and "Automaton Actualization".

With his latest release "A Postcard from Paris", Mike rebells against his own previous synthesized productions with a back-to-basics work created solely by Mike and his piano.

Mike says, "Synthesizers are great, but they don't respond affectionately the way a real piano does. In creating "Postcard", my emphasis was to produce simple, intimate solo pieces that made me and my listeners fall back in love with the wonders of the piano."

And love it we do. Mike has a refreshing approach, combining modern melodic elements that appeal to today's listeners, with rich classical undertones, inventing an original sound vaguely reminiscent of Elton John, but with the one-of-a-kind fingerprint that is uniquely Mike Crawford.
