New Release - January 2003 - Heroes & Villains
I create instrumental music because I love the challenge and beauty of expressing myself with the nothing but the guitar.  I also really like impressing girls, and instrumental music allows me to lie and tell every girl that the song is about her.  Ok, so I'm full of it.  That's not why I like instrumental music.  I write instrumental music because I have to.  If I didn't write music I would explode and the world would end.  Something inside my mind drives me forward every day to write music and it is truly a pleasure to share it with you.

The guitar is a gorgeous instrument.  It is violent, passionate, comical, and romantic.  I truly love playing guitar and I believe that comes out on my albums.  However, the strength of my music is in composition.  Every note exists to serve the meaning of the song, and this methodology of creating music will no doubt provide you with a deep, exciting, and crazy listening experience.

Everyone has music playing in their soul, and I would be honored if you added me to the soundtrack of your life.  Enjoy!

I started playing guitar at age 14 because I was a bored, angry teenager.  The guitar was my doorway into music, and music now controls my life.  Seriously I need help.  All I do is write and play music.  If you know of anyway to help me, please let me know.  I can't sleep anymore.  I just play and play and play.  It's awful.  I hate the guitar.  haha

I am currently living in Washington State where I concoct all kinds of crazy things in my room, including the music you are listening to.  I plan on writing tons of crazy music for as long as I'm still around.

My first CD, "The Adventures of Guitar Man" was released in June of 2000.  "Heroes and Villains" is my second instrumental album, it was released December 6th, 2002.

From the release of Forrest's debut CD in 2000.

At eighteen years old, Forrest Kyle already boasts a string of musical laurels - from being awarded two scholarships to the Berklee School of Music, to winning the Everett, Washington battle of the bands, to being chosen by Los Angeles' ISG Promotions as one the finest unsigned artists in their search of over 1,000 entrants, as well as being featured on their CD of winners.

But the budding guitar great doesn't take it all that seriously...on the sleeve of his self-produced debut CD, "The Adventures of Guitar Man", Kyle writes, "This is my moment in time, my chance to yell about social injustices and environmental causes. But I have to be honest with you; I'm not going to do that...Would you like to know what I care about? I care about movies and cars. I care about guitars and what kinds of toppings go on my pizza."

He's only 18, but his playing and instrumental compositions reflect a maturity of taste beyond his years. The influences of his guitar playing idols are evident - Joe Satriani, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, EddieVan Halen, and even jazz great Djiango Rheinhardt.

Guitar Nine Magazinedescribes Kyle's music as "firey instrumental rock fuled by Latin beats", and goes on to say, "the CD displays a remarkably developed and mature style...Kyle's firey playing and attention to dynamics makes the CD a great listen."
