| An educated musician, with a quick ear and great
chops, someone who strives to reach the intangible things in music
that defy categorizing. David Hill - a native of Seattle now living in Los
Angeles - is a guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, vocalist, arranger and producer
of rare breadth and flexibility.
In his 15 years as a professional guitarist, David has done his fair share of session work and touring, performing with Chuck Negron, Al Wilson, Mike Pinera, Robbin Ford, Al Dimeola and Frank Gambale, to name a few. He leads his own jazz/fusion group, playing at the more prominent clubs in town such as the House of Blues. He has produced independent records in genres from rock & pop to blues & jazz, and as an educator himself, has created curriculum and taught for over ten years at Musician Institute, and now at the Los Angeles Music Academy as well. David has been featured by Guitar Player Magazine in their Sessions Instructional Series, has been involved in the production and transcription of numerous Instructional Video Tapes for REH Productions, and has just completed a new instructional book & CD for Hal Leonard Publications. Selections from David's newly released debut Jazz/Fusion CD, "Two Seasons" are available for licensing via our Music Library. |
