8/30/2000: Former members of
THE RUNAWAYS
visit with
ROCKNROLLSTATION.COM!!
When we first arrived, Lita Ford was live on the air via
telephone.  Here's Cherie listening to Lita's interview.
The girls got a chance to chat together on the air for a
few moments.  Mickey the DJ suggested that Lita's son
James (2) and Cherie's son Jake (9) start a band together!

DJ Mickey Kravitz and Cherie Currie.
I think Cherie makes Mickey a little nervous!
He said interviewing and meeting the girls
was a dream come true!

The station is so amazing, they have live audio & video, plus a web cam, a message board, and a chat room all going at once!  Cherie answered questions posted by the fans on the message board and tried her hand at some of those REALLY HARD questions from that The Runaways quiz devised by Runaways' friends Gordie and Debbie. Cherie played some of her new music, and also songs from the upcoming releases of her friends Katt Lowe and Julie Ragins.

While Vicki & Cherie were there, we also got a surprise visit by telephone from Jackie Fox! Cherie & Vicki & Jackie chatted on the air for around 15 minutes.

Sandy West spun some records, old and new, and also brought her guitar along and treated us to a live performance! Yay Sandy!  She sang us some fab new original songs and gave us a taste of some Runaways faves like "You Drive Me Wild" and "Wild Thing", and also a preview of her upcoming version of "These Boots are Made for Walkin'"!!

Cherie Vicki & Sandy all autographed memorabilia
that the station plans to auction  for charity.

As the day drew to a close, (8 hours!), we learned that there were over 10,000 hits! Thank you everyone at rocknrollstation.com! Thank you to all of you who joined us by logging on and particpated with your questions and support! We had a great day and tons of fun!
